1. Senior Researcher (PhD Holder)
The Industrial Systems Institute (ISI) (www.isi.gr) and the research team SMARTECH, in the framework of several ongoing EC funded projects (6G-BRICKS, ADROIT6G, 6G-INTENSE, SUNRISE-6G, ENVELOPE), is looking for senior researchers (PhD holders) in the areas of design, analysis and implementation of 6G networks and cloud-edge-continuum. In the context we offer positions on the following topics:
- Native integration of AI in 6G wireless networks, with implementations of LLM-assisted Machine Reasoning for network orchestration.
- Ζero-Touch management enabling AI-driven dynamic slice reconfiguration for self-driven 6G infrastructure and self-optimization.
- Trustworthy AI for resource allocation in 6G networks
- Digital Twining for 6G Networks
The candidates will access to will have access to ISI’s 5G and beyond testbed and part of their research activity will include experimental evaluation, participation in project meetings, participation in international conferences and publish their research work in international journals. Candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the management of the funded projects and represent the SMARTECH department in exhibitions and events.
Desired background in one or more of the following subjects:
• Experience with AI/ML/XAI/LLM algorithms, tools and basic workflows.
• Expertise in Python development and / or other programming languages
• Experience on Docker and container networking or with Kubernetes.
• Experience on experimental tools like Amarisoft, OAI etc.
Preferred Qualifications
• Basic experience in preparing proposals for research funding, e.g. Horizon Europe and SNS projects
• Experience in participating international research funding projects
Conditions
3 yeas contract to be renewed annually.
Candidates should have a PhD in Computer, Telecoms, Electrical Engineering, and a high-quality track record of publications in relatedjournals and conferences.
